FAQs
Can I self-refer
Yes you can. If you have been affected by Domestic Abuse in any form (Violence, Economic Abuse, Coercive Control) or sexual violence, you can use the form available in our Referrals section and one of our team will get in touch with you
I work with an agency (Medical Practice, Social Services, etc...) can I refer a patient/client?
Yes you can. Use the form available in our Referrals section and one of our team will get in touch directly with the client/service user. Remember to obtain your client/patient's consent at the end of the process (there's a box to tick to confirm this)
I struggle with anxiety, the prospect of entering a room full of people unsettles me. Can you help?
Yes we can. Our trained volunteers are acutely aware of the challenges associated with entering unfamiliar environments, particularly during times of vulnerability. We can arrange for a volunteer to greet you at the entrance on your initial visit, ensuring you receive the support you need. Please do not hesitate to contact us; we will be happy to discuss this arrangement during our preliminary conversation.
Do I need to book before attending a session?
Yes you do as we need to limit the number of attendees so we can give each and every woman the attention and care she deserves. To book a place, text or ring 07895155965 and mention which session you wish to book for: Monday or Wednesday
In your "About Us" section, it states you are "a Charity founded on Christian vision and driven by Christian values". Do I need to be a Christian to attend?
No you don't! While we are guided by Christian principles, we welcome volunteers, supporters and attendees from all faiths and none. We do not expect everyone in Ladies Lounge to subscribe to the Christian faith, just to understand, respect and acknowledge our values.
I have young children, can I bring them along to the sessions?
Sadly we cannot accommodate children during our sessions for operational reasons. If your children attend school, we have a session on Monday morning. You can also call our Project Leader Suzanne on 07895155965 for support.
